Corlize Viljoen
Corlize completed her schooling in 1998 at Goudini High School in the small winelands town of Rawsonville in the Boland. She went on to complete her B.Comm Law degree at the University of Stellenbosch majoring in Financial Accounting and Economics. During this time she served on the house committee of her residence and was part of organizing and running various community projects for the university.
After her studies she spent two years (2002-2004) in London during which time she worked in the corporate sector for national companies such as NCP and 360group. It was during this time that she discovered her passion for teaching, training and travelling.
Corlize returned in 2005 to South Africa to do her PGCE (post graduate certificate in education) at the University of Stellenbosch. She spent two and a half years teaching at Muizenberg High School in Cape Town before joining Johannesburg School of Finance’s Schools division where she has been responsible for marketing, selling and presenting Business simulation programmes to schools throughout South Africa.
Her time in the finance sector in London as well as in the education sector in South Africa has equipped her with essential skills like time management, meeting deadlines, teamwork, working under stressful conditions and presentation skills. As one that believes that you must never stop learning she has completed various courses while working; pastel accounting, quickbooks accounting, ICDL international computer course and a course in Investment Fundamentals by Johannesburg School of Finance.
