Morne completed his schooling in 1998 at Richards Bay High School in the small coastal town Richards Bay where he was born and grew up.

He went on started studying BSc. Industrial Psychology at the University of Natal and completed several courses focusing on Human Resources, Industrial Relations and Health, Safety, Environment and Risk Management.
